Aneta Grzeszykowska – (b. 1974, Warsaw, PL) photographs and video use dark, probing humor to explore sexuality, feminism, and the construction (and violent erasure) of the self. Over the past two decades, Grzeszykowska has used performance, photography, sculpture, and video to investigate the multiplicities of the self, the history of feminism and the phenomenology of her respective mediums. Grzeszykowska’s art draws her into the arena of Donna Harraway’s woman-cyborg. In breaking with the old, outdated schema, faded frames and post-romantic, patriarchal phantasms, she retains an unpredictability and hybridity that lies beyond the confines of the dual-channel possibilities of identity, connecting that which is human with what is technical, the organic with the synthetic, male and female, alluring and repugnant, and, particularly in the case of her latest works, the artistic and the non-artistic.

Parallely to her sculpture’ installation artist works on her video and performance projects. Ewa Partum – (born 1945, Grodzisk Mazowiecki near Warsaw, Poland) is a poetry artist, performance artist, filmmaker, mail artist, and conceptual artist. Partum engages in linguistic and performative play in an attempt to discover new artistic language. This search for a “new language” is rooted in her belief that painting has exhausted its potential to generate new or transformative ideas. Partum’s work also is motivated by touching on issues such as the notion of public space, the situation of women, female subjectivity and the political context of the 1980s. Partum’s work explores issues of female identity, including the gender bias of the art world. At the beginning of the 1970s, while the amount of artist run institutions increased, there was also a development of a new paradigm that perpetuated the dominant, institutionalized model of art, which Partum considered confining. In interviews, she speaks about the difficulties and discrimination that she has faced as a female performance artist. This bias inspired her decision to perform naked in many pieces. At one point, Partum declared she would perform naked until women in the art world obtained equal rights. (sours: wikipedia)

She co-created an exhibition called Biennale Nieużytków, which provided a breath of new life to unused spaces in Warsaw. The piece was later shown in Warsaw architecture pavilion Zodiac (2022). Her work is focused on interactivity. Rather than engaging the viewer, Pazio’s art poses as a call to action.
